SNA Annoucements

-Open Officer positions: If you are interested in SNA, here is your chance to join the board.  Open positions include: Treasurer & Junior Class Rep.  Anyone interested in a position should contact Kimber Myers (myerskl@cougars.sf.edu) with the following information: Name, Year/semester, position interested in, qualities they could bring to SNA, and a short snippet about themselves.

-Bowl for Kids Sake: Friday, April 1, 2011 from 6-8pm & 8-10pm at Indiana Tech.  Fundraiser with a night of bowling.  We are still in need of volunteers so get together with a few of your friends and come out and bowl with the kids. The event is sponsored by Big Brothers Big Sisters. Teams are asked to try and raise $100 for Big Brothers Big Sisters so ask your parents, grandparents, whoever to help us raise money for the cause. If you are interested contact Kimber Myers (MyersKL@cougars.sf.edu).

-AIDS walk: April 10th on campus. It is a barefoot walk to raise money for AIDS. $1.00 will be donated for each participant in the walk by the musical group Hanson, so come out and support this cause!

-NSNA National Convention: located in Salt Lake City Utah on April 6th-10th, 2011. The NSNA Convention is a great way to converse with other nursing students from around the United States. It is an experience that will make you more "pumped up" and excited for the challenges of nursing school. If you are interested in attending the convention, talk with your professors now so they are aware you may be missing class and to make other arrangements for missed assignments. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Rene DePew.

SNA is providing scholarship opportunities for students who are interested in going.  Applications are now available on Rene's door in Doermer and are due March 3rd by 10am.  Applications can be turned into Rene.  A letter of recommendation is required so make sure you get started ASAP!
